As you probably already know, working on Corvettes is entirely different than working most vehicles.  For one thing, they are extremely finicky.  You cannot simply replace a seemingly innocuous part with a "high-performance" replacement part and expect everything to work as well or better than it did. More often than not, you'll find that you will have more problems than you did with the OEM part.

With that in mind, I have compiled a list of books I highly recommend that you read and maybe add to your personal library for future reference.  Above all, get a factory service manual for your specific year Corvette.  They are a bit expensive but, if you plan on doing any work on you own car, there is no better manual than the FSM.  Haynes, Chilton among others are helpful, but are not a replacement for the FSM.
